Twitter’s new logo is an ‘X’
Dated 24th July 2023 Monday, Elon Musk changed Twitter's old blue bird logo to a new minimalist logo ‘X’.
After Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter last year, there have been many changes like charging money for blue ticks, adding subscriptions, limiting to number of tweets you can read a day, open-sourcing their recommendation algorithm code publicly, adding the feature to post multimedia tweets, Creating a monetization hub for creators, and many more.
The biggest change came recently when Elon Musk stated that he is planning to change the Twitter logo, the default theme, and some other features through a series of tweets
At first, it seems like a Joke from Elon, similar to his previous tweet about Coca-Cola “Next I’m buying Coca-Cola to put the cocaine back in”.
It all became real when Elon posted another tweet on 24th July
After this tweet, everything from Twitter's official account profile picture, verification icon, entry animation, and URL (X.com) has changed redirecting to a new interface.
The one question I had in my mind since yesterday, is why “X” and not any other letter. I did some research and found a strange obsession of Elon Musk with the Letter “X”.
